The Arcadia Montessori School was founded in 1963. It is the oldest Montessori School in the San Gabriel Valley.
Owner/Director, Cheryl Roberts has worked at Arcadia Montessori School since 1976. She has worked as a teacher, school administrator, and director. Mrs. Roberts has a degree in Speech Pathology from California State University, Los Angeles.
Faculty
At Arcadia Montessori School our teachers carefully prepare classroom environments which emphasize consistency and dependability. Each activity has a place; and projects are carried out in an orderly, relaxed manner. The teachers create a nurturing environment, which encourages individual and social development for the younger and older child.
Arcadia Montessori Schools’ warm and loving teachers spark the children’s imaginations and kindle in them a sense of limitless possibilities the world has to offer. By truly believing in each child’s potential, the teacher encourages the child’s self-confidence and promotes positive attitudes toward lifelong learning.
Our teachers have received their training from an accredited Montessori training center and/or hold a Bachelor’s Degree. All staff members are CPR certified and live scanned. We are a multi-generational school. Many of our staff’s children and grandchildren have attended AMS.
